GOOD FRIDAY? What is so good about a day when someone special died?

#service #story #mystory #witnessing #church #compromise #died #dead #death #decay #faithful #5021-7000

GOOD FRIDAY? How can the death of someone special be a good day that warrants celebration?

https://shop.otakada.org/category/blog/

Discipleship 101 in the marketplace 5021 of 7000 – The obedient disciples of
Christ dies daily to self to be effective in the supreme call over all disciples of Christ. The place of death, is the place of increase and multiplication of fruits and more seeds. The place a disciple is alive is the place of stunted growth, corrupt fruits and seeds.

John 12:23-26
23 But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified.24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.
25 He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.

John 12:32
32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”

Luke 9:23-26
23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.25 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost?26 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.

Comment: 2000 plus years ago, Gods seed was killed and buried but on the third day, He resurrected. Despite intense persecution against the WAY all through history, that single seed is still speaking life and bringing to life billions in darkness and death who are then bringing forth more seeds and harvest into the kingdom. God’s wisdom is foolishness to the world.
Lord, I receive grace to die to self daily as I follow You for effectiveness in the place of multiplication and increase of godly seeds in the earth in Jesus name, amen.
Are you willing and ready to die to self daily or just when it is convenient?

How can I Tell I Am A Lukewarm Christian That Is Going Nowhere? Lets read the letter to the Laodicea church followed by 18 indicators that will help us look ourselves in the mirror and make necessary amends as we celebrate this Easter the one to whom we must give account of our pilgrimage.

Discipleship 101 in the marketplace 5020 of 7000 – The obedient disciple of Christ in the marketplace leaves no room for lukewarmness. Lukewarmness makes us indecisive. Lukewarmness is a fence position in the realm of the spirit and that is the enemy’s territory.

James 4: But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Revelation 3:14 And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the trusty and faithful and true Witness, the Origin and Beginning andAuthor of God’s creation:

15 I know your [record of] works and what you are doing; you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot!

16 So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth!

17 For you say, I am rich; I have prospered and grown wealthy, and I am in need of nothing; and you do not realize and understand that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.

18 Therefore I counsel you to purchase from Me gold refined and tested by fire, that you may be [truly] wealthy, and white clothes to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nudity from being seen, and salve to put on your eyes, that you may see.

19 Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince andreprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest andburning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude].

20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears and listens to and heeds My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he [will eat] with Me.

21 He who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant him to sit beside Me on My throne, as I Myself overcame (was victorious) and sat down beside My Father on His throne.

22 He who is able to hear, let him listen to and heed what the [Holy] Spirit says to the assemblies (churches).

Here are 18 indicators of lukewarmness. Lets look at the mirror and see if we fit into the warning to the church in Laodicea. Lets BEGIN!

1\. Lukewarm people attend church fairly regularly. It is what is expected of them, what they believe “good Christians” do, so they go. Isaiah 29:13

2\. Lukewarm people give money to charity and to the church as long as it doesn’t impinge on their standard of living. If they have a little extra and it is easy and safe to give, they do so, After all, God loves a cheerful giver, right? 1 Chronicles 21:24, Luke 21:1-4

3\. Lukewarm people tend to choose what is popular over what is right when they are in conflict. They desire to fit in both at church and outside of church; they care more about what people think of their actions (like church attendance and giving) than what God thinks of their hearts and lives. Luke 6:26, Revelation 3:1, Matthew 23:5-7 4.

4: Lukewarm people don’t really want to be saved from their sin; they want only to be saved from the penalty of their sin. They don’t genuinely hate sin and aren’t truly sorry for it; they’re merely sorry because God is going to punish them. Lukewarm people don’t really believe that this new life Jesus offers is better than the old sinful one. John 10:10, Romans 6:1-2.

5\. Lukewarm people are moved by stories of people who do radical things for Christ, yet they do not act. They assume such action is for “extreme” Christians, not average ones. Lukewarm people call “radical” what Jesus expected of all His followers. James 1:22, James 4:17, Matthew 21:28-31

6\. Lukewarm people rarely share their faith with their neighbors, coworkers, or friends. They do not want to be rejected, nor do they want to make people uncomfortable by talking about private issues like religion. Matthew 10:32-33

7\. Lukewarm people gauge their morality or “goodness” by comparing themselves to the secular world. They feel satisfied that while they aren’t as hard-core for Jesus as so-and-so, they are nowhere as horrible as the guy down the street. Luke 18:11-12

8\. Lukewarm people say they love Jesus, and He is, indeed, a part of their lives, their money, and their thoughts, but he isn’t allowed to control their lives. Luke 9:57-62

9\. Lukewarm people love God, but they do not love Him all their heart, soul, and strength. They would be quick to assure you they try to love God that much, but that sort of total devotion isn’t really possible for the average person; its only for pastors and missionaries and radicals. Matthew 22:37-38

10\. Lukewarm people love others but do not seek to love others as much as they love themselves. Their love for others is typically focused on those who love them in return, like family, friends, and other people they know and connect with. There is a little love left over for those who cannot love them back, much less for those who intentionally slight them, who kids are better athletes than theirs, or with whom conversations are awkward or uncomfortable. Their love is highly conditional and very selective, and generally comes with strings attached. Matthew 5:43-47, Luke 14:12-14

11\. Lukewarm people will serve God and others, but there are limits to how far they will go or how much time, money, and energy they are willing to give. Luke 18:21-25

12\. Lukewarm people think about life on earth much more often than eternity in heaven. Daily life is mostly focused on today’s to-do list, this week’s schedule, and next month’s vacation. Rarely, if ever do they intently consider the life to come. Philippians 3:18-20

13\. Lukewarm people are thankful for their luxuries and comforts, and rarely consider trying to give as much as possible to the poor. Matthew 25:34, 40, Isaiah 58:6-7

14\. Lukewarm people do whatever is necessary to keep themselves from feeling too guilty. They want to do the bare minimum, to be “good enough” without requiring too much of them. 1 Chronicles 29:14, Matthew 13:44-46

15\. Lukewarm people are continually concerned with playing it safe; they are slaves to the god of control. This focus on safe living keeps them sacrificing and risking for God. Matthew 10:28

16\. Lukewarm people feel secure because they attend church, made a profession of faith at age twelve(12) or fifty(50), were baptized, come from a Christian family.

17\. Luke warm people do not live by faith; their lives are structured so they never have to. They don’t have to trust God if something unexpected happens- they have their savings account. They don’t need God to help them—they have their retirement plan in place. They don’t genuinely seek out what life God would have them live—they have life figured and mapped out. They don’t depend on God on a daily basis-their refrigerators are full and, for the most part, they are in good health. The truth is, their lives wouldn’t look much different if they suddenly stopped believing in God. Luke 12:16-21

18\. Lukewarm people probably drink and swear less than average, but besides that, they really aren’t very different from your typical unbeliever. They equate their partially sanitized lives with holiness, but they couldn’t be more wrong. Matthew 23:25-28, Luke 14:34-35

Prayer: Oh Lord God,  I earnestly do not want to be part of these 18 classes above, as I make a solemn commitment today to stay out. As You see my willingness, help me to stay completely true to You and set me on fire for You in Jesus name, amen. How about You? Commitment to Christ and His standard signifies to Him that I am ready, willing and need help. He will then release the needed grace to do as anticipated. Are you sincerely willing? May He meet you today at this point of need in this easter season.

Can i keep some old and some new?

#service #story #mystory #witnessing #church #compromise #died #dead #death #decay #faithful #5019-7000

Can I keep part of my old self and part of the new or do I need to be whole faithfully? The Church in Philadelphia had something for every church to mirror

Discipleship 101 in the marketplace 5019 of 7000 – The obedient disciples of
Christ knows that failing in one is failing in all. God looks at our total being to see if we are wholehearted towards Him.

Revelation 3:7-8
7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”:8 “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.13 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’

James 2 :1-4 My dear friends, don’t let public opinion influence how you live out our glorious, Christ-originated faith. If a man enters your church wearing an expensive suit, and a street person wearing rags comes in right after him, and you say to the man in the suit, “Sit here, sir; this is the best seat in the house!” and either ignore the street person or say, “Better sit here in the back row,” haven’t you segregated God’s children and proved that you are judges who can’t be trusted?

5-7 Listen, dear friends. Isn’t it clear by now that God operates quite differently? He chose the world’s down-and-out as the kingdom’s first citizens, with full rights and privileges. This kingdom is promised to anyone who loves God. And here you are abusing these same citizens! Isn’t it the high and mighty who exploit you, who use the courts to rob you blind? Aren’t they the ones who scorn the new name—”Christian”—used in your baptisms?

8-11 You do well when you complete the Royal Rule of the Scriptures: “Love others as you love yourself.” But if you play up to these so-called important people, you go against the Rule and stand convicted by it. You can’t pick and choose in these things, specializing in keeping one or two things in God’s law and ignoring others. The same God who said, “Don’t commit adultery,” also said, “Don’t murder.” If you don’t commit adultery but go ahead and murder, do you think your non-adultery will cancel out your murder? No, you’re a murderer, period.

12-13 Talk and act like a person expecting to be judged by the Rule that sets us free. For if you refuse to act kindly, you can hardly expect to be treated kindly. Kind mercy wins over harsh judgment every time.

Prayer: Spirit of the living God, help us, your church to be whole faithfully unto the Lord in Jesus name, amen

Can there really be a dead church?

#service #story #mystory #witnessing #church #compromise #died #dead #death #decay #5018_7000

Lord, You mean a church can just die out and you permit it, ain’t we supposed to be engraved in the palm of your hands? The church at Sardis ignored warning and died of her own choosing.

Discipleship 101 in the marketplace 5018 of 7000 – The obedient disciples of
Christ must be fruitful and productive unto the Lord knowing the mind of Christ that anything that is not fruitful or productive as it concerns the kingdom is permitted and set aside for decay, die a natural death or perishes.

Matthew 21:19-20
19 And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away.20 And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither away so soon?”

James 1:2-4 Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.

Revelation 3:1-6
1 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.6 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’

Comment : The “dead” church The church at Sardis was described as being “dead” (3:1). It appeared to be alive – had “a reputation of being alive” – looked spiritually vibrant on the outside – but was spiritually lifeless. There is nothing in scripture that says once saved, forever saved. This a lie to cause Christians to live compromised lives. God will be unjust to permit enthronement of wickedness and iniquity in His body without doing something about it. Heaven will be filled with overcomers and not fly by night Church goers who are not committed to Jesus Christ in thought, words and deeds.
Heavenly Father, I desire to be constantly productive and fruitful in your kingdom, help me to so do for You are no respecter of persons but only those who obey you totally in Jesus name, amen.
How about you? How productive and fruitful are you? Let’s make amends TODAY tomorrow might be TOO late.

Are You Compromised?

#service #story #mystory #witnessing #church #compromise #5017-7000

How resolute is my allegiance to God ? Let’s get a glimpse at the compromising Church in Thyatira.

Discipleship 101 in the marketplace 5017 of 7000 – The obedient disciples of
Christ does not compromise with the aim of pleasing people or avoiding disagreement.

Revelation 2:
18 Write this to Thyatira, to the Angel of the church. God’s Son, eyes pouring fire-blaze, standing on feet of furnace-fired bronze, says this:

19 “I see everything you’re doing for me. Impressive! The love and the faith, the service and persistence. Yes, very impressive! You get better at it every day.

20-23 “But why do you let that Jezebel who calls herself a prophet mislead my dear servants into Cross-denying, self-indulging religion? I gave her a chance to change her ways, but she has no intention of giving up a career in the god-business. I’m about to lay her low, along with her partners, as they play their sex-and-religion games. The bastard offspring of their idol-whoring I’ll kill. Then every church will know that appearances don’t impress me. I x-ray every motive and make sure you get what’s coming to you.

24-25 “The rest of you Thyatirans, who have nothing to do with this outrage, who scorn this playing around with the Devil that gets paraded as profundity, be assured I’ll not make life any harder for you than it already is. Hold on to the truth you have until I get there.

26-28 “Here’s the reward I have for every conqueror, everyone who keeps at it, refusing to give up: You’ll rule the nations, your Shepherd-King rule as firm as an iron staff, their resistance fragile as clay pots. This was the gift my Father gave me; I pass it along to you—and with it, the Morning Star!

29 “Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches.”

Comment: The church in Thyatira had love, faith, persistence and service but a very strong desire to carry everybody along. They were a compromising church .This is very subtle position to be in and requires the searchlight of the Holy Spirit to expose falsehood from truth. That church was wiped out.
Lord purify my heart , cause my motive for serving you to be motivated by undivided loyalty, lacking compromises in Jesus name, amen

What is the way of Balaam and how do we identify them in our churches today? Let explore the church in Pergamum

#service #story #mystory #witnessing #church #marriage #5016 – 7000

What is the way of Balaam and how do we identify them in our churches today? Let explore the church in Pergamum.

Discipleship 101 in the marketplace 5016 of 7000 – The obedient disciples of
Christ is a bride of Christ waiting for the return of the groom to the marriage supper of the lamb and must be kept pure without spots or wrinkles.
Proverbs 3:5-12 Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
don’t try to figure out everything on your own.Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;he’s the one who will keep you on track.Don’t assume that you know it all.Run to God! Run from evil!Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!Honor God with everything you own;give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline;don’t sulk under his loving correction. It’s the child he loves that God corrects; a father’s delight is behind all this.

Revelation 2: 12 Write this to Pergamum, to the Angel of the church. The One with the sharp-biting sword draws from the sheath of his mouth—out come the sword words:
13 “I see where you live, right under the shadow of Satan’s throne. But you continue boldly in my Name; you never once denied my Name, even when the pressure was worst, when they martyred Antipas, my witness who stayed faithful to me on Satan’s turf.14-15 “But why do you indulge that Balaam crowd? Don’t you remember that Balaam was an enemy agent, seducing Balak and sabotaging Israel’s holy pilgrimage by throwing unholy parties? And why do you put up with the Nicolaitans, who do the same thing?16 “Enough! Don’t give in to them; I’ll be with you soon. I’m fed up and about to cut them to pieces with my sword-sharp words.17 “Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. I’ll give the sacred manna to every conqueror; I’ll also give a clear, smooth stone inscribed with your new name, your secret new name.”

Revelation 19:7-9
7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
9 Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’ ” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”

Comment: Pergamum served as the capital of the Roman province of Asia Minor for over 25 years and was an important religious center for a number of pagan cults. It was the first city in Asia to build a temple to Caesar and it became the capital of the cult of Caesar worship.Of Pergamum an ancient writer said it was “given to idolatry more than all Asia.”
Pergamum comes from the Greek word gamos that means marriage. This letter pictures a church married to the world rather than to Christ. The church in Pergamum never repented and they were obliterated by an invading force.

Oh Lord God, deliver us from greed and the bottomless fascination and unsatisfactorily exploits that the world presents in Jesus name, amen

As a Christian, can I really avoid being persecuted?

#service #story #mystory #witnessing #church #persecution #5015 -7000

As a Christian, can I really avoid being persecuted? Let’s hear the message to the church in Smyrna and where they stand today.

Discipleship 101 in the marketplace 5014 of 7000 – The obedient disciples of
Christ expects to be persecuted as it is a sure indicator that the disciple is making impact against the realm of wickedness. Persecution keeps the Christian alert and on fire for Jesus.

Revelation 2:8 Write this to Smyrna, to the Angel of the church. The Beginning and Ending, the First and Final One, the Once Dead and Then Come Alive, speaks:
9 “I can see your pain and poverty—constant pain, dire poverty—but I also see your wealth. And I hear the lie in the claims of those who pretend to be good Jews, who in fact belong to Satan’s crowd.10 “Fear nothing in the things you’re about to suffer—but stay on guard! Fear nothing! The Devil is about to throw you in jail for a time of testing—ten days. It won’t last forever.”Don’t quit, even if it costs you your life. Stay there believing. I have a Life-Crown sized and ready for you.
11 “Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. Christ-conquerors are safe from Devil-death.”

Matthew 10:27-33
27 “Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops.28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.32 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

John 15:20
20 Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

Comment : Today, we look at the letter to the church at Smyrna, a church known for suffering. Smyrna is the Greek word for myrrh, a flagrant perfume used in burial.
“The Greek word translated ‘Smyrna’ was used in the Septuagint (the Greek translation of the Old Testament) to translate the Hebrew word for myrrh, a resinous substance used as a perfume for the living (Matthew 2:11) and the dead (John 19:39). Its association with death perfectly pictures the suffering church at Smyrna. Like myrrh, produced by crushing a fragrant plant, the church at Smyrna, crushed by persecution, gave off a fragrant aroma of faithfulness to God.”

Many believe that this church represents the martyrs of all the ages and the sweet-smelling fragrance of their faithfulness until death. There was no rebuke for this church and because they were faithful until death, their candlestick has never been removed. Christianity has never completely left this city. It is the only one of the seven cities still in flourishing condition. Modem day Smyrna in contrast to Ephesus which, today, is a deserted ruin with no people. Smyrna is still a large seaport with the present population of about 275,000 people. Today, it is known as Izmir, Turkey.,3rd largest city in Turkey.
Well, Smyrna lay 40 miles almost due north of Ephesus. It was the loveliest of all the cities. It was exceptionally wealthy. Scripture does not record the founding of the church of Smyrna. It is not mentioned anywhere else in the Bible other than these four verses, but it is believed it is with the other churches that were founded while Paul spent two years in Ephesus on his third missionary journey.

Lesson for us is that faithfulness does not just come by wishful thinking or a strong desire to have it. It is birthed, strengthen and tested in the furnace of affliction. May the Lord find us faithful, not if but when testing comes in a Jesus name, amen.

Ephesus departed from first love for Jesus

Ephesus departed from first love for Jesus

#service #story #mystory #witnessing #church #5014-7000

Is Jesus watching and recording what is happening in our local assemblies today? Is He sending warnings that we are not heeding? What did He say to the seven churches in ancient Turkey? What could He be saying to the body of Christ today? Let’s dive into the book of Revelation and see

Discipleship 101 in the marketplace 5014 of 7000  – The obedient disciples of
Christ continually checks with the master for feedback and does not ignore revelation.
Revelation 1:17-20 “Don’t fear: I am First, I am Last, I’m Alive. I died, but I came to life, and my life is now forever. See these keys in my hand? They open and lock Death’s doors, they open and lock Hell’s gates. Now write down everything you see: things that are, things about to be. The Seven Stars you saw in my right hand and the seven-branched gold menorah—do you want to know what’s behind them? The Seven Stars are the Angels of the seven churches; the menorah’s seven branches are the seven churches.”

Revelation 2:1 Write this to Ephesus, to the Angel of the church. The One with Seven Stars in his right-fist grip, striding through the golden seven-lights’ circle, speaks:
2-3 “I see what you’ve done, your hard, hard work, your refusal to quit. I know you can’t stomach evil, that you weed out apostolic pretenders. I know your persistence, your courage in my cause, that you never wear out.
4-5 “But you walked away from your first love—why? What’s going on with you, anyway? Do you have any idea how far you’ve fallen? A Lucifer fall!
“Turn back! Recover your dear early love. No time to waste, for I’m well on my way to removing your light from the golden circle.
6 “You do have this to your credit: You hate the Nicolaitan business. I hate it, too.
7 “Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. I’m about to call each conqueror to dinner. I’m spreading a banquet of Tree-of-Life fruit, a supper plucked from God’s orchard.”

Comment: This is self explanatory. Jesus was saying to the church in Ephesus about two thousand years ago that they hate evil, they are courageous and have so much ZEAL for Him BUT have departed from their first love for Him. The shocking fact was that in their busyness, they did not even realize that they have departed from their exalted position. Today, that church is in ruin and was wiped out by invaders. Lord God,  open my eyes today and my ears to hear You loud and clear on my spiritual state as relates to my CORE relationship with You. I am willing to make a U- turn as the case demands, meet me with Your grace to so do in Jesus name, amen.

Grace? Why am I still struggling with sin even when I have asked God to grant me GRACE? Is something amiss?

GRACE? Where in the scriptures is GRACE given without a willingness to obey? Can GRACE be available to those who are unwilling to obey God? Why am I still struggling with sin even when I have asked God to grant me GRACE? Is something amiss?

Discipleship 101 in the marketplace 5013 of 7000 – The obedient disciples of
Christ does not play around with GRACE to dabble into willful sin because it cost God His life. GRACE is damn right expensive!
Matthew 13:47-52
47 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind,48 which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away.
49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just,50 and cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”51 Jesus said to them, “Have you understood all these things?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.”52 Then He said to them, “Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”

Matthew 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

John 1:17
17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Romans 1:5
5 Through Him we have received GRACE and apostleship for OBEDIENCE to the faith among all nations for His name,

Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that GRACE may abound?
11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under GRACE.15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under GRACE? Certainly not!
16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Comment: I have no capacity to live right. Only God has that capacity to whom He imputes it. That was why Jesus came and died. I have just one thing to do daily and it is a sincere willingness to obey by faith in Him, then He meets me with GRACE. This GRACE then helps me to avoid sin and not live in it or be a slave to it. Jesus is coming very, very shortly for the obedient disciples and not church goers. Am I ready? are you ready? Are we ready? This is our TIME for self-assessment and self-confrontation because the verdict is either heaven or hell in eternity. My time here on earth for 25 years, 50 years, 100 years, 150 years is but a dot in eternity. Let us make a date with Jesus TODAY. Lord, I make a commitment to OBEY you in ALL, grant me GRACE to do in Jesus name, amen. How about you?
