Day #40 of 40

Basic Scriptures: Daniel 12:3 -Those who are wisewill shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.

John 21:25 – Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

Author Spotlight: Who Is Watchman Nee?

In the last couple of months, we have laid the foundation for “the great exchange for service” so that you can begin to explore and make yourself available for selfless service for the expansion of the kingdom of God here on earth. In the coming months, we shall be bringing to you those who have done exploits in the kingdom. Books were written and some are available on, on http://www.otakada.organd other sources to help you build on your own with the help of those who have gone ahead of you and me.

I have never seen a doctor that has stopped reading that is effective or a nurse, a preacher, evangelist, prophet, an architect or a teacher. Even Jesus read from the books about His call. How then can we become effective in our race in the kingdom without giving ourselves to study? I encourage you to prayerfully investigate the areas of calling, look for books written by God’s messengers who have traveled that route and see how you will begin to be effective in the area of your call. Today, we are looking at Watchman NEE who touched China with selfless service for the kingdom.

Do you want to grow, then begin reading books on the Greats of bible and the messengers like Watchman Nee, Witness Lee, Billy Graham, Robert Liardon, Joyce Meyer, T.D – Jakes, Lambert Okafor of Holy Ghost School and a host of others who have touched lives. They are not perfect, only God is. But they have something written that we will do well to learn for effectiveness in the place of our calling. You have a call and I have one.

What would you want to be remembered for? What would you exchange your life for? Pray about it, find it, read on it and start doing it. That is your exchange for service.

The backdrop to Watchman Nee’s testimony

There are over 115million Christians in China today and are more  as most are underground. Christianity first reached China in the 7th century AD, brought by Nestorian Eastern Syriac believers. Roman Catholic missionaries arrived in the 13th century and in the early 1300s there was even briefly a Franciscan archbishop in Peking.  but did not take root until it was reintroduced in the 16th century by Jesuit missionaries. Today, it comprises CatholicsProtestantsEvangelicals and a small number of Orthodox Christians.

Starting in the early 1800s, God put a calling into the hearts of many Western Christians to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to China again. Through much sacrifice, these missionaries gave themselves to preach the gospel in a place where it hadn’t gone before. As a result, slowly but surely, people who had previously never heard the name of Jesus were brought to Christ the Savior.

Then in 1900 during the violence and upheaval of the Boxer Rebellion, Chinese believers were persecuted and martyred. Many missionaries were also killed. In the aftermath of such sacrifice and loss, Christians in the West persevered in their burden for China and continued to offer up fervent prayers for its people.

In the 1920s, the Lord answered these prayers and began to call young people to Himself in China. The gospel reached the educated circles, and many college students were brought to Christ. One hundred years of missionary work and sacrifice, followed by years of desperate prayer, had paved the way for the Lord to raise up a whole generation of young Chinese Christians. It was from among that generation that the Lord called Watchman Nee.

Watchman Nee’s salvation

Watchman Nee was born into a Christian home in China, but he hadn’t received Christ as his Savior. As an educated young man, he considered Christian preaching to be the lowest occupation on earth. He was very intelligent, very capable, and had big plans for his future.

In 1920, when he was 17 years old, Watchman Nee attended his parents’ church where a well-known evangelist came to preach the gospel. Many in the congregation believed in the Lord and were saved right then. But Watchman Nee was not, for though he was moved by the gospel, he also realized that if he received Christ as his Savior, that meant he would also receive Christ as his Lord and serve Him for the rest of his life.

For a young man with such capacity and such dreams as Nee, this realization created great inner turmoil. Not long after hearing the gospel preached that day, however, Nee was alone in his room and recognized that he had no peace. Troubled, he was unable to sleep, so he knelt down to pray. One after another, his sins came before him. He saw that he was a sinner. He also saw a wounded Savior on the cross, with open arms waiting to receive him.

Overwhelmed by such love, Nee wept. He confessed his sinfulness to the Lord and immediately felt the burden of sin lifted. For the first time in his life he felt real peace and joy. His immediate and willing response was to consecrate himself to the Lord for His service for the rest of his life.

Watchman Nee’s testimony

After his salvation, Watchman Nee immediately sought to know the Lord Jesus in the Word of God and through classic Christian books and the spiritual writings of other believers. He read voraciously and, blessed with a keen mind, was able to remember what he read. In a short time, he himself began to write on matters of the Christian life in magazines, tracts, and books. He also translated important Christian works from English into Chinese for others to benefit from.

In addition to carrying out his ministry through writing and publishing, Nee also gave spoken messages in various places in China. In 1938 he gave messages in Europe that eventually were published as The Normal Christian Life.

Nee was manifested as a particular gift from God to the Body of Christ, ministering from the Word in a country that had long been deprived of not only the basic truths in the Bible, but also the deeper truths revealed in God’s Word. Through his ministry, the Lord raised up hundreds of believers and churches in China. Not only so, countless other believers have received light and spiritual nourishment from God’s Word through Nee’s written ministry. Even now, the writings of Watchman Nee continue to have great impact on Christians all over the world.

Nee was arrested by the Chinese government for his faith in 1952. He remained imprisoned for 20 years, steadfast in his faith until his death in a labor camp in 1972. In 2009, the United States Congress recognized Neefor his devotion to his faith and his contributions to Christianity worldwide.

After Nee’s death, a guard found these words he’d written on a piece of paper in his room:

“Christ is the Son of God who died for the redemption of sinners and resurrected after three days. This is the greatest truth in the universe. I die because of my belief in Christ.”

If Karl Marx is to be believed and religion is the “opiate of the masses,” then China is waging a new opium war. Threatened by the rapid, uncontrolled growth of Christianity, the Communist Party is gearing up for a sweeping crackdown.

Although China is officially an atheist nation, Protestant Christianity is thriving. According to some estimates, there are as many as 115 million Protestants in China, and it is one of the fastest growing demographics in the country. One analyst predicts that by 2030, China will have more than 247 million Christians, including Catholics, making it the world’s largest congregation.

But much to the authoritarian government’s chagrin, the overwhelming majority of this booming cohort of Chinese Christians are meeting in underground churches. Only state-sanctioned religious organizations are allowed to operate in China, and official churches are closely watched.

In recent years, many state-sanctioned churches have been forced to install surveillance cameras, and preachers, selected by the government, are monitored to ensure that their sermons do not broach taboo topics.

“They want the pastor to preach in a Communist way. They want to train people to practice in a Communist way,” said an underground church leader, who spoke anonymously to the Telegraph.

The preacher explained that state churches often avoid potentially subversive portions of the Bible. For instance, the Old Testament book that tells the story of Daniel, who is exiled and refuses to worship the king as he is ordered and instead worships God, is “very dangerous.”

Preachers have also been pressured to show their loyalty to the Communist Party and have taken to praising President Xi Jinping and incorporating party propaganda into their sermons.

It is these heavy-handed tactics that have made many Chinese Christians turn to underground churches. According to Yang Fenggang, a professor of sociology at Purdue University, of China’s estimated 93 to 115 million Christians, less than 30 million attend official churches.

This disparity has caught the attention of state officials, and earlier this month new regulations aimed at curbing non-state sanctioned houses of worship were passed.

The new law has taken effect in February 2, 2018 and is imposing heavy fines on organizers of unofficial religious events and prohibit them from carrying out basic functions like receiving donations, providing religious information online, or teaching children.

Wang Zuoan, head of the State Administration for Religious Affairs, explained that the new law was necessary because “the foreign use of religion to infiltrate [China] intensifies by the day and religious extremist thought is spreading in some areas.”

CONCLUSION – There is no success without a successor. Next week, we shall be introducing Witness Lee who took over from where Watchman Nee ended. Watchman Nee mentored Witness Lee. Do you have anyone one you are mentoring at the moment or you think you are not qualified? I beg to disagree. You have something to offer as long as it brings glory to God. Remember, Life is for learning and the learning is for life from books, people, self and of-course from the spirit of the living God.

What would you want to be remembered for? What would you exchange your life for? Pray about it, find it and start doing it. That is your exchange for service.

Have a BLESSED week!

Full Blog post

Brethren, in the series on “the great exchange for service,” this last topic crown it all. The question of our BEING and our DOING. What comes first? Who we are or What we do? The correct answer to this question will aid our acceleration and speed to maturity as our rubber hits the road of our Christian race, this is where God defines whose are His and whose are of the devil and eventually our aboard in eternity.

In addressing proper positioning for service with the question of being and doing, We will explore ten (10) scriptures to give clarity. We will talk a bit on doctrine, importance of personal study, and self-examination or testing with the help of the Holy Spirit to look ourselves at the mirror and have the Holy Spirit play back to us our true self so that we can yield to His transforming power in our lives. We will also look the maturing process and how it ties into service. On self-confrontation or self-examination, I did this some time ago and was shocked at the rubbish I was still carrying which has helped me to yield to the slow and steady transforming work of the Holy Spirit. There are 202 images or vices to look at. Take your time!

The great exchange for service :- I cut myself loose

*The Great Exchange for Service* :- *_I must Cut Myself Loose of every weight_*

We mentioned in our earlier writings that when we ask God to use us, He takes us through a process of preparation in His on school with the help of the Holy Spirit so that when we are deployed to the place of assignment, we will be relevant and ready to be effect agents of transformation in the hands of the master for good works.

Let’s explore a few scriptures to help put things in proper order :

*Hebrew 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.*

Another scripture reads in

*Philippians 3:12-14 New Living Translation (NLT)*
_Pressing toward the Goal_
_12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,[a] but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us._

_John 14:26 when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative–that is, the Holy Spirit–he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you._

The Holy Spirit is going to be the teacher, the examiner, the adviser, the reminder and when it really gets though, He takes on the role of a the comforter.

90% of the work of preparation for Service will be within us, the Mrs flesh and 10% will be outside us. Outside us means outside the church. In the marketplace, the no go areas where we classify sinner zones. That was exactly what Jesus did and that is where our effectiveness will be evident. The church is the sharpening ground so we can go back out and show forth the praise of the one who has recruited us into the service. We must be willing to take risk in launching out. It is while we are on the way that the Holy Spirit takes over.

To help with initiating and beginning this personal training to address the 90% within, several books have been written but this one stands out in the way the material is organised and results and testimonies it delivers. We will recommend a set of books that have helped me and so many others in a laying proper foundation at our own pace and time with the grace and help of the Holy Spirit.

The Great Exchange for Service: – His BURDEN FOR MY BURDEN. Becoming An Effective Ministry Agent or Burden Bearer Part 2

🔄🤝🤝🏾 👮🏾‍♀👮🏾‍♂ *The Great Exchange for Service: – His BURDEN FOR MY BURDEN.* Continued.. *Becoming An Effective Ministry Agent or Burden Bearer* Part 2

Date: 22nd of July 2018

* content count No.13876*

We are all called as ministers, burden bearers, ambassadors and kingdom agents representing Christ here on earth.

I can be a prophet in the five fold ministry call and still be the CEO of a company. I can be a janitor or chaffeur and in the five fold ministry call, be an apostle. I can be a homemaker and be an envangelist. A call, is a call, is a call. I can’t be a Christian and not be assigned a ministry call at conversion because we are ALL called to serve in one capacity or the other.

Let us excercise it wherever and whenever we are stirred up or find opportunity as led. *We can operate in more than one ministry calling depending on the assignment, but one of them is our core calling.*

We need to identify that one core, develop and equip the body of Christ to do likewise. *Developing it means putting it to use.* With every use, it gets better and better.

*Ephesians 4:11-13* (NKJV) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
_*till we all come to the unity of the faith*_ and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;.

*Be an effective agent, a burden bearer today. Carry out the five fold ministry test ( 45 questions, 10 minutes today via this link:*

🤷🏾‍♀🤷🏾‍♂ *When i ask God to use me in His kingdom, He responds by taking away my earthbound burdens for His heavenly burdens. When i accept the burden, i become His agent like a policeman or policewoman, a recruit drafted into service with a heavenly authority to enforce heavenly kingdom will hear on earth.*

*Some people have asked, saying ” how come, since i got born again, i mean seriously born again, my problems have increased 10x or 20x (times over). Why is that?”*

The answer to this can be found in some of these scriptures:

*_James 1:2-8 New King James Version (NKJV)Profiting from Trials_*

_2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways._

*2 Corinthians 1:3-5 Praise to the God of All Comfort*

_3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ,so also our comfort abounds through Christ_

*For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.*

_To be an effective agent of the kingdom, training and preparation for ministry is a key you cannot afford to go without. God is not a god of theory. God is a practical God. For relevance and to be able to bear burdens, we might need to go through what people we are meant to minister to go through as well. Our preparation through times of crisis is our preparation time for ministry and we need to take it all with all joy. God always grant abundant grace so that the burden can be easy for us to carry. Jesus is our perfect example. Jesus became an agent in our midst, went through all we were meant to go through ( perfectly God and perfectly human) and now He is interceding for us because He has gone through it and did not break rank.

*Read this..*

*Hebrews 4:14-16 New International Version (NIV)Jesus the Great High Priest*

_14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are yet he did not sin.16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need._

_If our Churches need to be revelant in the call over our lives, we will certainly go through things we never expected in our lives and circumstance so that we can be relevant to all to whom we are sent.

*A persecuted believers (disciples) will be relevant to another persecuted believer (disciples) elsewhere in the world who is not experiencing persecution in that instance but scheduled for the future._*

*A believer who has lost a spouse will be more effective in ministering to a widow or widower because this person understands the pain and loneliness associated with loose from experience and not head or book knowledge.*

If we continue in the place of prayer, 🙇🏽‍♀🙇🏽‍♂God will grant us grace and clarity as effective agents of transformation but before then, we need to stoop where others are stooping.

*Have you asked God to use you in your office, market, church the world out there and it seems He is not responding?*

📱💻🖨📃📜📧📖🖋🖊📝Take a pen or pencil or whatever and begin to write or record those burdens down. Ask Him for insight on the next step once you have clarified which is it.

*Some agency assignment could be to pray for something or someone.*

*Some agency assignment are temporary while some are long term.*

*some agency assignment will require that we experience what those to whom we are to be sent to go through for a season or for long term – discern what it is*

If we do nothing about our agency assignment, there is a tendency for frustration, anger, helplessness and hardness of heart to set in. 😡

For the harvest is plentiful and the obedient labourers are very very few.

*Matthew9:37Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.*

Self-Assessment – Where Do I Really Stand In God? Conversion + Conviction + Commitment = Christ Likeness

A Word for Today – In this part of eternity, examination is an ongoing exercise. Sometimes exam questions are set by outsiders, sometimes, they are set by insiders. Today, we want to self-examine ourselves to see where we stand in God and maybe, we would self-correct after self-assessment on CONVERSION, CONVICTION and COMMITMENT.

Self-Assessment – Where Do I Really Stand In God? Conversion + Conviction + Commitment = Christ Likeness

Key Verses To Study, Meditate And Obey:

II Corinthians 13:5

Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! (English Standard Version)

Psalm 139:23-24

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life” (New Living Translation)

Galatians 5:22-23 New International Version (NIV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Luke 9:23 English Standard Version (ESV)

23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

Matthew 7:21-23 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.

Introduction: Self-Assessment – Where Do I Really Stand In God? Conversion + Conviction + Commitment = Christ Likeness

When you look in the mirror, what do you see? Obviously, you see your reflection. Every day, we look into the mirror to examine ourselves, look for faults we need to fix, and ensure we look presentable. However, do you know that we also need to look into the spiritual mirror to help us examine ourselves?

Self-examination is a crucial part of our spiritual growth. When we look at our spiritual mirror, what do you see? Do you see mostly your carnal and worldly attitude? Or do you see the character of God the Father and Jesus Christ reflected back to you?

To make this process as simple as possible, let us look at three stages of our Christian experience, explore what the mean and how we stack up to the requirement. Continue reading Self-Assessment – Where Do I Really Stand In God? Conversion + Conviction + Commitment = Christ Likeness

Engaging God in Conversation Is Like ABC –  God’s Voice Become Amplified with the Holy Spirit Baptism – Part 3 of 3

A Word for Today –  This is the era of the Holy. God chooses to speak to us today through the instrumentality of His Holy Spirit in born again Believers. When we are full of the Holy Spirit, we easily discern His thoughts in our thoughts, His grieve in our grieve, His joy in our joy, He decision in our decisions and His peace in our peace. We cannot afford to run the Christian race without the help of Holy Spirit in us. Just as the demon possessed man, woman, boy or girl cannot do damage without the demon in them leading and directing them. We are a container, there is no vacuum in the spirit realm, what we open ourselves up to fills us. Be filled with the Holy Spirit of the living God!

Remember, we mentioned earlier that there are 4 voices we are exposed to. These are the voice of Self, voice of Surrounding, voice of Satan and voice of the Spirit of God. We are focusing on the voice of the Spirit today.

Engaging God in Conversation Is Like ABC – God’s Voice Become Amplified with the Holy Spirit Baptism – Part 3 of 3

Key Verses To Study, Meditate And Obey:

Acts 13:2

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

Genesis 1: 26-27

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Psalm 82:6 – 8

6 I said, “You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High. 7“Nevertheless you will die like men  And fall like any one of the princes.” Arise, O God, judge the earth! 8 For it is You who possesses all the nations.

Zechariah 12:8

“In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the one who is feeble among them in that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the LORD before them.

John 3:3-6

3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

 John 10:30 -36

30“I and the Father are one.”

31The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him. 32Jesus answered them, “I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?” 33 The Jews answered Him, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God.” 34Jesus answered them, “Has it not been written in your Law, ‘I SAID, YOU ARE GODS’? 35“If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), 36 do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?

John 17:21-23 (NIV)

21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Acts 1:4-5

4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Acts 1:8

8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Act 2: 14 – 18

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spake forth unto them, saying, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and give ear unto my words. 15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose; seeing it is but the third hour of the day; 16 but this is that which hath been spoken through the prophet Joel: 17 And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams:

18 Yea and on my servants and on my handmaidens in those days Will I pour forth of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy.

Questions: What are the truth you are learning from the above scriptures? If this is true, what commitments can you make to obey in keeping with the truth in the scriptures above? Who would you share these truth with and your commitment for witnessing and accountability purposes?

Introduction – God Desires to Speak to You and Me Through Many Channels and the Holy Spirit is  GREATEST voice in our work and walk with Him today. Don’t mess with the Holy Spirit.

Must Christians stop at the above prayer and don’t move beyond that but if you read Acts 1:8 , you realize that to live a successful Christian life in full communion and power with the Holy Spirit , we need Holy Spirit baptism apart from water baptism. When we became Christians, we received the spirit but not in fullness. We cannot communicate effectively with power and poise without the full empowerment of the Holy Spirit of God inside of us.  We see the remarkable change in Peter and the other disciple after the Holy Spirit Baptism. God now comes inside of us. Becomes joined with our spirit in power, our thoughts becomes His thoughts, our hands becomes His hands, our eyes, legs, ears becomes His, He is thinking, we are thinking same , He is grieving, we are grieving, He is loving the unlovable, we are loving the unlovable with ease.

You cannot have the creator of the universe, the Milky Way and the Galaxy living and breathing in you without any kind of outwards manifestation. The sign is tongues ladies and gentlemen. If you don’t have that heavenly prayer language, ask for it. Don’t build some useless, lifeless doctrine around your inability to speak in tongues. It changes your prayer language, your prayer becomes more effective because you boycott the mind where our reasoning tend to block our prayers impressed upon them. Tongues is another way the Holy gets the job done but our will has to come in line so our vocal cords can be used for such prayers.

I ask myself, why would God give us a heavenly language each time we are baptized or His presence comes mightily upon us? Because, our minds are the greatest hindrance to hearing, communicating and prayer what the Holy Spirit wants us to pray. Tongues boycotts all of that. Our, mind become useless, we worship as we should not as our mind dictates because our mind is small compared to the magnificence of God. Our spirit prays because our spirit came from God and knows what to say or do when His shekinah glory manifest through us. The mind is limited because of the limit of our physical realm, what we have seen from the time we were born to the time we die. The spirit knows more so praying in the spirit is more authentic than praying through our minds where issues of life, discouragement, demonic projection and suggestions reside. Next chapter, we shall look at the ten sense of man and you begin to realize what part the mind plays.

Many people may have had an experience like that of the little girl who heard the Holy Ghost (as the Holy Spirit is sometimes called) mentioned in church from time to time, but so vaguely and infrequently she could only guess what sort of ghost this might be. So one day, when she ventured down into the dark furnace room in the church’s cellar, she decided with a child’s firm logic that this spooky place must be where the Holy Ghost lurked.

The fact is, adult believers often act as if the Holy Spirit really was hiding in the church cellar. They may know something about the Holy Spirit, but they don’t know Him personally or realize that He is God in the same way the Son and the Father are God. When they read the Bible, many people are surprised to find that the Holy Spirit was at the very dawn of time: “The Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters” (Genesis 1:2), and many are amazed to find out there are approximately 100 references to the Holy Spirit throughout the Old and New Testaments.

Nevertheless, the Spirit’s role is fundamental both to creation and the life of the believer. When a person comes to Jesus Christ, he receives Christ into his heart. The Spirit of God comes and joins with the spirit of the believer. This “indwelling Spirit” reproduces the life of Jesus in the believer’s life.

What, Then, Is The Baptism In The Holy Spirit?

The baptism in the Holy Spirit is an empowering for service that takes place in the life of the Christian (Acts 1:5,8). In it we are immersed in the Spirit’s life and power.

To illustrate, if we drank water from a glass, then the water would be inside us. However, if we went to the beach and stepped into the ocean, then we would be in the water. We receive, as it were, a drink of the Holy Spirit when we are saved, but when we are baptized in the Spirit, it is as if that initial drink becomes an ocean that completely surrounds us.

Just as the indwelling Spirit that Christians receive when they are saved reproduces the life of Jesus, so the outpoured, or baptizing, Spirit reproduces the ministry of Jesus, including miracles and healings.

Begin a full course online with 12 chapters, videos, workbooks to get you started in your conversation with God today at

Pray this prayer if you sincerely desire to receive the baptism in God’s Holy Spirit:

“Heavenly Father, at this moment I come to You. I thank You that Jesus saved me. I pray that the Holy Spirit might come upon me. Lord Jesus, baptize me now in the Holy Spirit. I receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit right now by faith in Your Word. May the anointing, the glory, and the power of God come upon me and into my life right now. May I be empowered for service from this day forward. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for baptizing me in Your Holy Spirit. Amen.”

Now, having asked and received, begin to practice the power of the Spirit. An ideal place to begin is where the first apostles did, praising God in a new language. To do this, begin praising God out loud in whatever words come to you. Tell Him how much you love Him. Thank Him, worship Him, and yield your voice to Him. Now let Him give you new words of praise you never heard before. Praise Him with those words, too. You’ll find that this can be a very rewarding experience of communication with God that will build up your faith. Continue to pray to God each day in the language that the Holy Spirit has given you.

But this “prayer language” is just one of the gifts that God wants to give you through the baptism in His Spirit. The Holy Spirit also produces the fruit in us.

Paul wrote that the Holy Spirit produces “fruit” in the lives of believers. These are virtues that demonstrate Jesus’ righteousness in the lives of His disciples: “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Galatians 5:22).

So, in asking for the baptism in the Holy Spirit you are availing yourself of these gifts for advancing God’s Kingdom and allowing the Holy Spirit to further cultivate in your life the fruit of righteousness – two great helps in living a life God can use mightily for His glory.

That’s the way it is with God. God is offering the baptism in the Holy Spirit to people who need only to reach out and receive it in order to be on fire to fully serve Him.

Engaging God in Conversation Is Like ABC –  Addiction to Well Organized Human (Self or Worldly) REASONING Drowns the Voice of the Spirit – Part 2 of 3

A Word for Today – Deliverance from Spirit of Confusion:  In our confused world today, where we have reasoned and are still reasoning ourselves to more confusion, the Lord seems to be saying – “we should try not to figure everything out, BUT focus on His word, discern what He is saying and asking us to do in any and every situation that confronts us, and we will stop being confused”. In the light of eternity, our life here is a drop in the vast Ocean of eternity. This whole planet earth will be burnt up, time is ticking fast. Set aside differences, be united, let’s do everything we can to take as many souls as we can with us. We should not go back to Him empty handed for which His Son died. Satan, the devil is working overtime because he knows, his time is short. (Note: – Revelation 12:12)

Key Verses To Study, Meditate And Obey:

Main Reading: 1 Kings 19 :1-18 New Living Translation (NLT)

Elijah Flees to Sinai

19 When Ahab got home, he told Jezebel everything Elijah had done, including the way he had killed all the prophets of Baal. So Jezebel sent this message to Elijah: “May the gods strike me and even kill me if by this time tomorrow I have not killed you just as you killed them.”

Elijah was afraid and fled for his life. He went to Beersheba, a town in Judah, and he left his servant there. Then he went on alone into the wilderness, traveling all day. He sat down under a solitary broom tree and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life, for I am no better than my ancestors who have already died.”

Then he lay down and slept under the broom tree. But as he was sleeping, an angel touched him and told him, “Get up and eat!” He looked around and there beside his head was some bread baked on hot stones and a jar of water! So he ate and drank and lay down again.

Then the angel of the Lord came again and touched him and said, “Get up and eat some more, or the journey ahead will be too much for you.”

So he got up and ate and drank, and the food gave him enough strength to travel forty days and forty nights to Mount Sinai,[a] the mountain of God. There he came to a cave, where he spent the night.

The Lord Speaks to Elijah

But the Lord said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

10 Elijah replied, “I have zealously served the Lord God Almighty. But the people of Israel have broken their covenant with you, torn down your altars, and killed every one of your prophets. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me, too.”

11 “Go out and stand before me on the mountain,” the Lord told him. And as Elijah stood there, the Lord passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. 12 And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire.

And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper. 13 When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave.

And a voice said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

14 He replied again, “I have zealously served the Lord God Almighty. But the people of Israel have broken their covenant with you, torn down your altars, and killed every one of your prophets. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me, too.”

15 Then the Lord told him, “Go back the same way you came, and travel to the wilderness of Damascus. When you arrive there, anoint Hazael to be king of Aram. 16 Then anoint Jehu grandson of Nimshi[b] to be king of Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat from the town of Abel-meholah to replace you as my prophet. 17 Anyone who escapes from Hazael will be killed by Jehu, and those who escape Jehu will be killed by Elisha! 18 Yet I will preserve 7,000 others in Israel who have never bowed down to Baal or kissed him!” 1 Kings 19:1-18

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV

O ye of little faith, why REASON ye among yourselves. Matthew 16:8 KJV

If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God (Who gives) to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him. Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering ( no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind. For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything (he asks for) from the Lord. (For being as he is) a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), (he is) unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything (he thinks, feels, decides). James 1:5-8

Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding Proverbs 3:5

But be doers of the Word (Obey the message), and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves (into deception by REASONING contrary to the TRUTH) James 1:22

Questions: What are the truth you are learning from the above scriptures? If this is true, what commitments can you make to obey in keeping with the truth in the scriptures above? Who would you share these truth with and your commitment for witnessing and accountability purposes?

Introduction – God Desires to Speak to You and Me Through Many Channels BUT Addiction to Well Organized Human (Self or Worldly) REASONING Drowns the Voice of the Spirit which should spur us to Spirit directed actions.

God wants to speak to you and me. He has always desired to commune with us right from the garden of Eden until humanity sinned. Jesus came to bridge and restore that linkage. Today, ALL of us can engage in conversation with Him. We just need to learn how, just like we learn every other thing in this world.

In the first of three part series of this blog, we learnt the various ways God speaks. We mentioned the fact that there are 4 voices that communicate with us and that the one we give attention to, rules.

In this part two of three (2 of 3, we will look at impediments to hearing the voice of the spirit. We will look at the voice of Reason in our minds which comes from Self or the Surrounding or Satan.

In 1 Kings 19:1-18, Elijah reasoned with the voice of self for his personal safety,  reasoned from the Surrounding circumstances saying he was alone, the only righteous man in Israel, he reasoned by input from satan through the voice of Jezebel and took off, 40 days and 40 nights running from a real and imaginary enemy.

He was so consumed with reasoning himself to suicide that God had to call to me twice and sent him back to where he was running from. Elijah gave attention that resulted in action only when he heard a still small voice realizing he has missed the plot by hundreds of miles.

What are we running from today? What has God said to us in the face of relentless attack by the agents and voices of satan? What is the voice of the Spirit we are hearing? Have we given attention to it or has fear for life taken the shine off the voice of God?

May the Lord grant us an attentive ear to hear what the spirit says to the churches in this season in Jesus name, amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for You love us so much that you sent Your Son to us and when He left, you sent the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us into ALL truth and more especially to the call upon our lives.  Today, we stand our ground as we silence, by the authority in the name of Jesus Christ, every satanic voice through intimidation, killing and fear that has downed or is drowning the voice of the Spirit of the living God in our midst and we declare over our minds, over our land, over the storm, over Nigeria, peace be still, hear ye and give attention to the sound of a gentle whisper from our heavenly Father in Jesus name, Amen.

Key Verses To Study, Meditate And Obey:

1 John 2: 27 “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him”

Habakkuk 2: 1 “I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected.”

1Sam. 3: 10 “The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.” (NIV)

Jonah 3: 1

And the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time, saying, Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach and cry out to it the preaching

Jeremiah 33:3 Niv

‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’

John 10:27-28

My SHEEP hear my VOICE, and I KNOW them, and they FOLLOW me: And I GIVE unto them eternal life; and they shall NEVER perish, neither shall any man SNATCH them away.

John 14: 15-27

“If you love me, you will do what I command. 16 I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper[a] to be with you forever. 17 The Helper is the Spirit of truth. The people of the world cannot accept him, because they don’t see him or know him. But you know him. He lives with you, and he will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you all alone like orphans. I will come back to you. 19 In a very short time the people in the world will not see me anymore. But you will see me. You will live because I live. 20 On that day you will know that I am in the Father. You will know that you are in me and I am in you. 21 Those who really love me are the ones who not only know my commands but also obey them. My Father will love such people, and I will love them. I will make myself known to them.”

23 Jesus answered, “All who love me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them. My Father and I will come to them and live with them. 24 But anyone who does not love me does not obey my teaching. This teaching that you hear is not really mine. It is from my Father who sent me.

25 “I have told you all these things while I am with you. 26 But the Helper will teach you everything and cause you to remember all that I told you. This Helper is the Holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name.

27 “I leave you peace. It is my own peace I give you. I give you peace in a different way than the world does. So don’t be troubled. Don’t be afraid.

Questions: What are the truth you are learning from the above scriptures? If this is true, what commitments can you make to obey in keeping with the truth in the scriptures above? Who would you share these truth with and your commitment for witnessing and accountability purposes?

Introduction – God Desires to Speak to You and Me Through Many Channels

God wants to speak to you and me. He has always desired to commune with us right from the garden of Eden until man sinned. Jesus came to bridge and restore that linkage. Today, ALL of us can engage in conversation with Him. We just need to learn how, just like we learn every other thing in this world.

This communication line can be broken even today as a result of disobedience to Gods instruction through engaging with us by His Holy Spirit, His word in the scriptures and a host of other channels. Listening and acting on instruction requires a heart of FAITH and ability to lower ones, “I can do it or I can handle it” mindset.

It requires that we key into Him 24/7 of the day as we sleep, as we walk, as we engage with the world. Remember, we are first spirit, that can engage with the spirit world, we live in body that engages with the physical world and we have a soul that rule our emotions, records our engages and interpret what we hear and perceive from the two realms. Hence the need to have it renewed continually. It is the battlefield. Guide it with the word continually.

When we pray in the spiritual language, as we receive the Holy Spirit, the mind is boycotted so we don’t start reasoning out what the spirit is saying or praying to the circumstances. In doing so, Gods purpose and counsel is established through our prayers without us even realizing it when we yield ourselves to His Spirit in us.

Key lessons from Monday Ogwuojo Ogbe’s Experiences and In the book, “Engaging with the Supernatural God” at search for paperback and electronic versions also on Amazon and ITunes

It is Ungodly For God Not To Speak Back To His Sons and Daughters Who Desires To Speak To Him.

– God Is Itching To Speak To You and Me.

– God is Speaking Today through His Holy Spirit that Lives in Born Again Believers.

– God Will Rarely Speak Beyond Our Last Point of Obedience. If we do obey, His voice and our sensitivity to Him gets louder and louder. If we disobey, it grieves His Holy Spirit In Us, If we repent and do what we are told, He returns.

– Just like we learn ABC or learn and understand people and their manners, voice type etc, God’s voice needs to be learned and we need to master it. In the place of prayer, study, meditating and obeying of His word and just plain asking for Him to speak to us on any and every issue. Nothing is a taboo with our maker God.It comes in the place of desire, hunger to hear from the lover of our souls. We must be hungry for it

– There are 4 voices in 4S that will speak to you and me in the course of our lives. The voice of (S)elf, The Voice of (S)urrounding, The Voice of (S)atan and The Voice of the (S)pirit. The one you give attention to Rules.

– Jesus restored the direct link between us and God and now we can speak direct to Him and He speaks direct with us. The Voice of the Spirit can also be relayed through others for confirmation or when we get disobedient, from His word, from painful experiences, to rebuke, to correct, to encourage, to direct, to give warning, to Instruct, to heal, to bring comfort, to judge, and much, much more..

What are the common ways God Speaks to us today ?

a) Seeing A spontaneous mental picture or image prompted by the Holy Spirit.

It may come as a still or moving picture displayed within the mind It may come as a written word or group of words displayed within the mind It may be instantaneous, or it may develop slowly, like a Polaroid photo It may take practice with a brief period of trial and error learning to determine which images are from Holy Spirit

b) Hearing GodMay speak with an outer audible voice heard physically by your ears (1 Sam 3: 4-10).

God may speak through an inner audible voice that seems very clear and seems to come from within you. God will most often speak with a still small voice in our thoughts (1Kings 19: 11-1) His voice comes from within as a spontaneous thought that interrupts our thoughts It may be just a single word indicating some need. Many people struggle with this ie “was that my thought or was that from the Lord?

c) Feeling GodMay speak to you through inner impressions.

The impression may come as an inner “knowing” The impression may come as an inner peace or as an agitation. Colossians 3: 15 –“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.” ‘Rule’ -NT: 1018 -to be an umpire in a game and blow the whistle; to decide, determine what should happen; to direct, control, rule. The impression or feeling may be ‘release’ or ‘restraint’

d) Inspired Writing – 1 Chronicles 28: 19 “All this,” said David, “the LORD made me understand in writing, by His hand upon me, all the works of these plans.” The Spirit of God gave revelation to David concerning the Temple design God did it by guiding his hand as he wrote ie inspired writing.

We would look at other avenues in our next two series and how the conversation get cut off through our own making.

Let us hear from someone who is actively hearing and responding to Him and how this is transforming His relationship with God

TRUE STORY: Hearing God’s Whisper Helped Mark Batterson Lead Powerful Lawmakers to Their Knees and the simple obedience to Gods voice is revolutionizing his ministry ( See Written Word and In Video below)

EBENEZERS COFFEEHOUSE, Washington — When many churches are dying out as their elderly parishioners pass away, Pastor Mark Batterson’s National Community Church has thousands of members, most of them young.

They own a popular, thriving D.C. coffeehouse. They’re D.C.’s largest church. And as one of the world’s most sought-after conference speakers, Pastor Mark is asked to address crowds all over the planet all the time.

But he insists this popularity isn’t about what he has to say. It’s more about what he and his team hear. And that’s the theme of his new book, Whisper, which is about the crucial need for believers to hear and listen to God and then do what He says.

‘God Wants to Speak to You’

Outside the church’s Ebenezers Coffeehouse, Pastor Mark told CBN News, “One of my fears as a pastor is that people would relate to God through me. Well, God wants to speak to YOU. And He does it through desires, dreams, doors, people, promptings and pain. And then, of course, through the First Language, Scripture itself. And so I have no doubt God is speaking. The question is: are we listening and is He the loudest voice in our lives?”

Pastor Mark practices what he preaches, which means he’s always trying to listen to the promptings of God and then doing what they say, no matter how challenging they are. Which often gets him into some interesting circumstances, like when he was recently addressing a gathering of senators and congressmen.

He recalled, “As I was speaking, I felt this prompting to have us kneel. Now I didn’t know if that was protocol. You’re talking to a group of senators and congress folk. But I felt like you’ve got to obey those promptings. And when you do, it’s almost like going down the rabbit hole. Then you discover what God can do.  And, man, it turned into a holy moment. Ya know, went off script a little bit, but I think those are the greatest moments in life: things that you can’t really plan for. But if you’re obedient to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, it can turn into something special.”

High and Mighty Lawmakers Hit Their Knees

So what happened when he asked these most powerful of lawmakers to kneel?

“We hit our knees. There was a great response to it. And then just a real time of intercession for this nation,” Pastor Mark remembered. “It’s no secret that we have our fair share of political tensions right now — and listen, here’s the thing:  I don’t think that hitting our knees solves everything. Because you have to draft legislation, you have to do policy and all those kinds of wonderful things. But it’s not a bad place to start — on our knees in the presence of God.”

Pastor Mark has found that sometimes you’ll hear something from God, but then what the Lord says will happen won’t actually happen for decades. As in the case of Pastor Mark’s asthma, which he suffered from his entire life…until recently.

He was beginning a series about moving mountains, asking his people to pray really brave prayers: like asking for something so impossible, only God can make it happen; or praying right through your disappointment as you ask again for something after God has seemingly ignored the same plea hundreds of times before.

Bravest Prayer Gets the Sweetest Answer

“For me, the bravest prayer would be that God would heal my asthma,” Batterson told CBN News.

“It’s my earliest memory: an asthma attack when I was three years old and went to hospital. That routine was repeated time and again. I’ve been hospitalized months if you add it up. I’ve been Code Blue,” he recalled.

“But I believed I had to keep praying, keep asking. And long story short, it’s been 477 days that I have not touched an inhaler. The Lord healed my asthma. So to celebrate it and to validate it, I thought ‘I’m going to run a marathon.’ So October 8th, I ran the Chicago Marathon. I didn’t win it, but I finished it,” he said.

And now Pastor Mark is writing about all this and more in the brand-new book “Whisper,” all about hearing, listening to and following the voice of God.
