We take a particular marriage in the Bible now. I do wish we could take some two others, but I’m watching this time. It’s not on our side.

May God help us. Now, the marriage between Rebecca and Isaac. Let’s quickly make a quick study.

And I’m hoping that I’ll be able to apply this to the various categories of men and women who are in this meeting. Those that are married, those that are yet to marry. Let’s see what we’re to say there.

Abraham was old and was stricken in age, and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things. Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, They are ruled over all that he hath. Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh, and I will make you swear by the Lord, the God of heaven, the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I do earth, but thou shalt go unto my country, unto my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.

And the servant said to him, By adventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land. Must I not bring your son again unto the land from whence thou camest? Abraham said to him, Beware that thou bring not my son there again. The Lord God of heaven which took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my kindred, will speak unto me, and that swear unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land, which I sent Israel before you, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from there.

Now look, what do we learn from that? First lesson. You see, Abraham was making his servant to swear that under no circumstance, under no condition, must he take a wife among the Canaanites. It was an oath.

How many of you will enter into an oath with God today? Say, No matter how terrible my condition is, I will never marry an unbeliever. It’s an oath. Yes.

In the matter of unequal yoke, it was supposed to be an oath. I will never be unequally yoked. Even if there is no man to marry, I would rather stay unmarried than marry an unbeliever.

Brother, you see what this man said? He said, Among the daughters of the Canaanites among whom I dwell, thou shalt not take a wife. And we dwell in this world among the daughters of this world. Those uncircumcised, those that are not born again.

You must not take a wife for my son among them. I want to say to you brother, For your marriage to be meaningful, the time of ignorance God winks at. For those that were married before they gave their lives to Christ and they married unbelievers, Brother, there is a different clause for them.

Even though they will suffer a bit, But now that you know, Now that you are born again before marriage, In fact, are you hearing me? Even if you have been in courtship for the past twelve years, And your marriage remained three months, Your wedding remained three months, And Jesus saved you, And transferred you from the kingdom of darkness. What happened to that engagement? It is cancelled. Ah, you say, But oh God, I have been with this man for twelve years.

What do you mean? Is twelve years of courtship equal to one year of marriage? Eh? And some of you, you talk so much. We have been together for long. Who told you? Until you marry, you are not married.

Is that not true? And you only need to go and find out from those that have entered into trouble now. The husband that they were married, When they were together in courtship, Look at what this man used to say. The letters he used to write.

He said, Oh Roke, there is no body like you. Among all the flowers of the garden, you are the rose of my life. He says all kind of rose.

The same man. The same man is the one that carries that same hand, With which he used to pat you on the back before. Well, you say you slapped me, I will slap you again.

What has happened? I am telling you that courtship, no matter how sweet it is, It is not equal to marriage. Marriage is not in the past. It is a venture of faith.

Do you know what a man will become tomorrow? Eh? You see what is bothering me? I have seen pastors, pastors, real pastors, Before they marry. Wonderful pastors. Could you ever imagine that a pastor will change? But they have changed.

What gave you confidence to be protecting for a future that you don’t know, If God is not going with you? Marriage is not what we already know. It is a venture of faith into the unknown. And before you take a journey that you have never gone before, How many of you have gone into marriage before? Eh? You have never been there before, it is a new journey for you.

You need a guide. And so, the first man to follow into marriage, Is not even your husband. It is the Lord Jesus.

The Reason For God’s Focus On Your Life

Father, tonight we stand. It is to you we have come.

And the Bible says, unto the Lord shall the gathering of his people be. Whatever you saw about us, whatever vision you have about us, that you have kept us alive, that you have not allowed us to be washed away among our generation, that vision must come to pass in the name of Jesus Christ. Those things that you saw, those things, O God, that you have determined, by your determined counsel over every life that is standing here, nothing shall truncate it in the name of Jesus Christ.

Nothing shall truncate it in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus was born to be something, but unfortunately, before he could realize his vision, something has tampered with his life. This night we stand to declare every interruption, every distraction, every hijacking by the kingdom of darkness.

We stand tonight to declare no way in the name of Jesus Christ. No way in the name of Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, there is a set time that Baba has set for us.

That time, nothing will miss it in the name of Jesus Christ. So tonight, as we begin this meeting, I just want to ask that your divine word will come to us. That your divine counsel will begin to unfold before us in the name of Jesus Christ.

I ask, Father, that every manipulation of Satan over any life here tonight, I stand as your servant, and by the reason of the anointing, we scatter such manipulations in the name of Jesus. Every confederacy that is not called by God, that have been sitting, sitting to see that these children does not walk into their inheritance, that confederacy tonight is declared a legger. So from this meeting, we scatter you in the name of Jesus Christ.

Who says Satan and he comes to pass and he is not the Lord. Every cancer that you have taken contrary to the purpose of God, over any of the children that is standing here, we command and declare it null and void in the name of Jesus. Thank you for hearing our prayer.

And this night, Father, this word that you want to send to us, release it to us right now. Thank you for hearing. In Jesus Christ’s name, we have prayed.

Amen. I perceive that there is a reason why heaven is so mobilized about you. Because there is a critical matter that you are born to fulfill.

And it is that, that the Spirit of God is speaking about, as regards the time, the set time for your exploits. I just want to read a very short passage tonight, just to welcome you. Why is God investing on your life? Why is God investing so much on my life? Why is heaven so interested about you? And why is hell at a very critical range because of you? Why is the devil annoyed? Why is the devil jittery about you? Why is the devil fighting tooth and nail? Why is he restless about you? And why is God focusing his attention upon you at a time like this? That’s the short word I intend to bring tonight.

And as we pray together to set this meeting on its course, I trust that the Spirit of God will bring a personal insight into why is God focusing on your life. I’ll read a very familiar passage to you. And I would like to speak for a little while.

So, please go with me to Hebrews. Hebrews chapter 11. Hebrews chapter 11.

Verse 23 and verse 24. We can read it up to verse 27. But what I look at tonight may not allow us to get as far as that verse 27.

Because I just intend to raise an issue of prayer. And then we shall pray concertedly together tonight. Before we retire and begin to get the meeting together.

Hebrews 11. Verse 23 and 24. By faith, Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents.

Because they saw he was a proper child. And they were not afraid of the king’s commandments. By faith, Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. Esteeming the reproach of Christ’s greater riches than the treasures in Egypt. For he had respect unto the recompense of the reward
