*The Great Exchange for Service* :- *_I must Cut Myself Loose of every weight_*
We mentioned in our earlier writings that when we ask God to use us, He takes us through a process of preparation in His on school with the help of the Holy Spirit so that when we are deployed to the place of assignment, we will be relevant and ready to be effect agents of transformation in the hands of the master for good works.
Let’s explore a few scriptures to help put things in proper order :
*Hebrew 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.*
Another scripture reads in
*Philippians 3:12-14 New Living Translation (NLT)*
_Pressing toward the Goal_
_12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,[a] but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us._
And
_John 14:26 when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative–that is, the Holy Spirit–he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you._
The Holy Spirit is going to be the teacher, the examiner, the adviser, the reminder and when it really gets though, He takes on the role of a the comforter.
90% of the work of preparation for Service will be within us, the Mrs flesh and 10% will be outside us. Outside us means outside the church. In the marketplace, the no go areas where we classify sinner zones. That was exactly what Jesus did and that is where our effectiveness will be evident. The church is the sharpening ground so we can go back out and show forth the praise of the one who has recruited us into the service. We must be willing to take risk in launching out. It is while we are on the way that the Holy Spirit takes over.
