Description
Apologia’s elementary Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy & Physiology textbook showcases the intricacy and design of the human body, from DNA and cell creation to the skeletal, muscular, digestive, respiratory, cardiovascular, nervous/endocrine, immune, and integumentary systems. Integrating health and nutrition information, as well as plenty of scripture and biblical application, this complete guide to the human body is written in an enjoyable, conversational tone that will keep kids engaged. Experiments, notebooking assignments, narration, and a “personal person project” provide interaction with concepts outside of reading, and help to solidify understanding.
Expand your studies with the Junior Anatomy Notebooking Journal which is perfect for younger (K-2) students who aren’t as advanced in their writing skills. Almost the same length as the regular journal, the notebooking pages feature the same level of intellectual work, just adapted to a lower level of writing ability. Perfect for younger students or older, struggling students! Coloring pages, scripture copywork, vocabulary flip-cards, puzzle pieces, “more to explore” ideas, diagrams to label, and other fun lapbooking pages are included, as well as full-color minibooks and two overhead tr ansparencies.
The MP3 Audio CD is an audio recording of the text, read by author Jeannie Fulbright. In order to improve transitions between text sections, the publisher has allowed additional audio (that is not in the book) to be added; in addition, contractions (can’t versus cannot) are also used. Due to these small changes, the audio will not be an exact reading of the book. Perfect for students that are auditory learners, slow readers, or who have disabilities that make reading difficult. This is an MP3-CD; you must have an MP3-compatible CD player or computer to listen.
The Apologia Anatomy & Physiology Lab Kit includes almost everything you need to complete the book’s hands-on experiments and activities. The included supplies will enable children to nibble on an edible cell, test food for vitamin C, create a working diaphragm, and much more! Items are packaged in individual lesson bags for easy use. Parents will still need to gather some supplies.
