The emergence of integrity music to West Africa in the early 90’s proved to be the beginning of good and spiritual musical ministrations.

I thought the generations who never experienced that era missed quite a lot, until Faith Igwe (mrs) came along with her heavenly composition titled ‘You Deserve’, her debut single. Listening to the song will remind the older generation what it used to be, and introduce the new to how we used to appreciate Christian music even in 2017.

Faith Igwe was born in Lagos as a twin to the family of Mr & Mrs Joseph Onogu from Olamaboro Local Government in Kogi State. She is from the Igala tribe and the second child of four siblings.
She has a BA(Ed) Degree in Christian Religious Studies and an MSc Degree in Psychology both from the University of Lagos, Akoka.

Since childhood, music started as a hobby and subsequently became a passion. Singing to the glory of God and blessing lives forever remains her vision and focus.

Her musical career started at the age of 10 years as a Lead Soloist in the New Creation Assembly Church Choir, Falomo, Ikoyi, Lagos. She has also been invited by other churches here in Lagos to minister. Faith ministered also with other mass choirs at Concerts with Gospel Singers like Panam Percy Paul & Anne Inyang. She was a member of the Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship Choir in Dutse, Jigawa State.
She performed at the Ajumogobia Science Foundation ASF Christmas Concert with Gloria Rhodes, Yinka Davies and Kaline Akinkugbe in 2012 and 2015. Faith Igwe is currently a worship leader with the Victoria Fellowship Church Choir, Lekki, Lagos, where she also works as an administrator in the church office. She says “I see music as a means to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost souls and encourage everyone who seeks answers to questions about life”. In the midst of challenges faced, studying God’s word and praying have given her the inspiration for the songs she did. She sees her songs as an encouragement and a message of hope to everyone who cares to listen. Happily married to Engr Milla Emeka Igwe and blessed with three lovely daughters.

Faith Igwe is currently in the studio working on fresh material for a near-future release (stay tuned); Teaming up with the maestro Teesound and his musical family of groomed, creative, professional singers and musicians, the sounds they are cooking in the kitchen are one of the finest and sweetest you’ve ever heard.
