Islam According to a study in 2015, Islam has 1.8 billion adherents, making up about 24.1% of the world population. Most Muslims are either of two denominations: Sunni (80–90%, roughly 1.5 billion people) or Shia (10–20%, roughly 170–340 million people). Although one in four people in the world are Muslim, less than 15% of these are Arabs. The largest populations of Muslims are found in South Asia and in Africa. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is the second largest intergovernmental organization in the world after the United Nations. It is extremely powerful and influential, and offers political and economic benefits to its members. Conclusion and prayer: There is contention for the souls of men and women.
