Engaging God in Conversation Is Like ABC – God’s Voice Become Amplified with the Holy Spirit Baptism – Part 3 of 3
A Word for Today – This is the era of the Holy. God chooses to speak to us today through the instrumentality of His Holy Spirit in born again Believers. When we are full of the Holy Spirit, we easily discern His thoughts in our thoughts, His grieve in our grieve, His joy in our joy, He decision in our decisions and His peace in our peace. We cannot afford to run the Christian race without the help of Holy Spirit in us. Just as the demon possessed man, woman, boy or girl cannot do damage without the demon in them leading and directing them. We are a container, there is no vacuum in the spirit realm, what we open ourselves up to fills us. Be filled with the Holy Spirit of the living God!
Remember, we mentioned earlier that there are 4 voices we are exposed to. These are the voice of Self, voice of Surrounding, voice of Satan and voice of the Spirit of God. We are focusing on the voice of the Spirit today.

Key Verses To Study, Meditate And Obey:
Acts 13:2
While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
Genesis 1: 26-27
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Psalm 82:6 – 8
6 I said, “You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High. 7“Nevertheless you will die like men And fall like any one of the princes.” Arise, O God, judge the earth! 8 For it is You who possesses all the nations.
Zechariah 12:8
“In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the one who is feeble among them in that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the LORD before them.
John 3:3-6
3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 10:30 -36
30“I and the Father are one.”
31The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him. 32Jesus answered them, “I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?” 33 The Jews answered Him, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God.” 34Jesus answered them, “Has it not been written in your Law, ‘I SAID, YOU ARE GODS’? 35“If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), 36 do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?
John 17:21-23 (NIV)
21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Acts 1:4-5
4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
Acts 1:8
8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Act 2: 14 – 18
14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and spake forth unto them, saying, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and give ear unto my words. 15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose; seeing it is but the third hour of the day; 16 but this is that which hath been spoken through the prophet Joel: 17 And it shall be in the last days, saith God, I will pour forth of my Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your young men shall see visions, And your old men shall dream dreams:
18 Yea and on my servants and on my handmaidens in those days Will I pour forth of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy.
Questions: What are the truth you are learning from the above scriptures? If this is true, what commitments can you make to obey in keeping with the truth in the scriptures above? Who would you share these truth with and your commitment for witnessing and accountability purposes?
Introduction – God Desires to Speak to You and Me Through Many Channels and the Holy Spirit is GREATEST voice in our work and walk with Him today. Don’t mess with the Holy Spirit.
Must Christians stop at the above prayer and don’t move beyond that but if you read Acts 1:8 , you realize that to live a successful Christian life in full communion and power with the Holy Spirit , we need Holy Spirit baptism apart from water baptism. When we became Christians, we received the spirit but not in fullness. We cannot communicate effectively with power and poise without the full empowerment of the Holy Spirit of God inside of us. We see the remarkable change in Peter and the other disciple after the Holy Spirit Baptism. God now comes inside of us. Becomes joined with our spirit in power, our thoughts becomes His thoughts, our hands becomes His hands, our eyes, legs, ears becomes His, He is thinking, we are thinking same , He is grieving, we are grieving, He is loving the unlovable, we are loving the unlovable with ease.
You cannot have the creator of the universe, the Milky Way and the Galaxy living and breathing in you without any kind of outwards manifestation. The sign is tongues ladies and gentlemen. If you don’t have that heavenly prayer language, ask for it. Don’t build some useless, lifeless doctrine around your inability to speak in tongues. It changes your prayer language, your prayer becomes more effective because you boycott the mind where our reasoning tend to block our prayers impressed upon them. Tongues is another way the Holy gets the job done but our will has to come in line so our vocal cords can be used for such prayers.
I ask myself, why would God give us a heavenly language each time we are baptized or His presence comes mightily upon us? Because, our minds are the greatest hindrance to hearing, communicating and prayer what the Holy Spirit wants us to pray. Tongues boycotts all of that. Our, mind become useless, we worship as we should not as our mind dictates because our mind is small compared to the magnificence of God. Our spirit prays because our spirit came from God and knows what to say or do when His shekinah glory manifest through us. The mind is limited because of the limit of our physical realm, what we have seen from the time we were born to the time we die. The spirit knows more so praying in the spirit is more authentic than praying through our minds where issues of life, discouragement, demonic projection and suggestions reside. Next chapter, we shall look at the ten sense of man and you begin to realize what part the mind plays.
Many people may have had an experience like that of the little girl who heard the Holy Ghost (as the Holy Spirit is sometimes called) mentioned in church from time to time, but so vaguely and infrequently she could only guess what sort of ghost this might be. So one day, when she ventured down into the dark furnace room in the church’s cellar, she decided with a child’s firm logic that this spooky place must be where the Holy Ghost lurked.
The fact is, adult believers often act as if the Holy Spirit really was hiding in the church cellar. They may know something about the Holy Spirit, but they don’t know Him personally or realize that He is God in the same way the Son and the Father are God. When they read the Bible, many people are surprised to find that the Holy Spirit was at the very dawn of time: “The Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters” (Genesis 1:2), and many are amazed to find out there are approximately 100 references to the Holy Spirit throughout the Old and New Testaments.
Nevertheless, the Spirit’s role is fundamental both to creation and the life of the believer. When a person comes to Jesus Christ, he receives Christ into his heart. The Spirit of God comes and joins with the spirit of the believer. This “indwelling Spirit” reproduces the life of Jesus in the believer’s life.
What, Then, Is The Baptism In The Holy Spirit?
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is an empowering for service that takes place in the life of the Christian (Acts 1:5,8). In it we are immersed in the Spirit’s life and power.
To illustrate, if we drank water from a glass, then the water would be inside us. However, if we went to the beach and stepped into the ocean, then we would be in the water. We receive, as it were, a drink of the Holy Spirit when we are saved, but when we are baptized in the Spirit, it is as if that initial drink becomes an ocean that completely surrounds us.
Just as the indwelling Spirit that Christians receive when they are saved reproduces the life of Jesus, so the outpoured, or baptizing, Spirit reproduces the ministry of Jesus, including miracles and healings.

Pray this prayer if you sincerely desire to receive the baptism in God’s Holy Spirit:
“Heavenly Father, at this moment I come to You. I thank You that Jesus saved me. I pray that the Holy Spirit might come upon me. Lord Jesus, baptize me now in the Holy Spirit. I receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit right now by faith in Your Word. May the anointing, the glory, and the power of God come upon me and into my life right now. May I be empowered for service from this day forward. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for baptizing me in Your Holy Spirit. Amen.”
Now, having asked and received, begin to practice the power of the Spirit. An ideal place to begin is where the first apostles did, praising God in a new language. To do this, begin praising God out loud in whatever words come to you. Tell Him how much you love Him. Thank Him, worship Him, and yield your voice to Him. Now let Him give you new words of praise you never heard before. Praise Him with those words, too. You’ll find that this can be a very rewarding experience of communication with God that will build up your faith. Continue to pray to God each day in the language that the Holy Spirit has given you.
But this “prayer language” is just one of the gifts that God wants to give you through the baptism in His Spirit. The Holy Spirit also produces the fruit in us.
Paul wrote that the Holy Spirit produces “fruit” in the lives of believers. These are virtues that demonstrate Jesus’ righteousness in the lives of His disciples: “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” (Galatians 5:22).
So, in asking for the baptism in the Holy Spirit you are availing yourself of these gifts for advancing God’s Kingdom and allowing the Holy Spirit to further cultivate in your life the fruit of righteousness – two great helps in living a life God can use mightily for His glory.
That’s the way it is with God. God is offering the baptism in the Holy Spirit to people who need only to reach out and receive it in order to be on fire to fully serve Him.
