On Sunday, March 5, 2023, the Right Reverend Frank Griswold III passed away, leaving behind a legacy of profound spiritual teaching and care. He served as the 25th presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church from 1998 to 2006.
During his years as presiding bishop, Griswold served as cochair of the Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission and was a member of various ecumenical and interfaith boards and institutes. He notably worked to establish full communion between the Episcopal Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
