The work of the Lord is NOT my work! (1 Cor. 3:5, 7, 23) It is the Lord’s work! The work of the Lord affords me an exclusive opportunity and beautiful relationship: to labor together WITH God! (2 Cor. 6:1) When I labor in the work of the Lord: It is God who works in [me]…mightily…what is well pleasing in His sight (Phil. 2:13; Col. 1:29; Heb. 13:21) I get to work WITH God while He works IN me! I belong to God! My work belongs to God!

Jesus Risen! What then does that mean to ME and YOU as Christians?

Yes, Jesus Died, has Risen and Sits at the Right Hand of God in GLORY. The One Million Dollar or Naira Question Is, “what then does that mean to ME and YOU as Christians?”
Discipleship 101 in the marketplace 5022 of 7000 – The obedient disciples of
Christ are hardworking, productive LABORERS for Gods kingdom.

John 12:20-21 There were some Greeks in town who had come up to worship at the Feast. They approached Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee: “Sir, we want to see Jesus. Can you help us?”

22-23 Philip went and told Andrew. Andrew and Philip together told Jesus. Jesus answered, “Time’s up. The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.

24-25 “Listen carefully: Unless a grain of wheat is buried in the ground, dead to the world, it is never any more than a grain of wheat. But if it is buried, it sprouts and reproduces itself many times over. In the same way, anyone who holds on to life just as it is destroys that life. But if you let it go, reckless in your love, you’ll have it forever, real and eternal.

26 “If any of you wants to serve me, then follow me. Then you’ll be where I am, ready to serve at a moment’s notice. The Father will honor and reward anyone who serves me.

Comment: Let us read above scripture several times over meditatively and using other versions if possible to gain clarity. What are we learning from above scripture in relation to being a Christian and what Jesus desires of us? Is it possible I have missed the plot as a follower of Christ? What amendment(s) and commitment(s) can I make in the place of consecration or separation and service unto the Lord as a LABORER in the vineyard? Am I really ready to be a LABORER for Jesus, daily going to construction site of the earth and being paid the least, but doing most of the work? Can I do something that does not benefit me directly, but for the benefit of others who are unappreciative, insultive, and still do it wholeheartedly anyways? In doing that, am I willing to die, real death in the process ? This is what Jesus did and is calling all of us disciples ( laborers) to do in comfort and discomfort. This is what we call Christianity. May He find me you and I faithfully planting the seed in the harvest field of life as a faithful follower of Jesus Christ in Jesus name, amen.

P.S – How about you? Don’t abide alone, don’t die a lone Christian for whom Jesus died. Go and multiply yourself till Jesus returns. Happy Resurrection Sunday.
