My name is Emmanuel Eni — this is a true-life story of God’s mercy, grace, and unfailing love upon my life.

The Bible says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22 : 6).

This is the story of God’s mighty, wonderful, and mysterious works, written in obedience to the command of the Lord Jesus Christ, who said to me, “Go and testify of what I have done for you.”

One often thinks of misfortune as an act of fate that cannot be changed. To an extent this is true, but for a child of God, every life is divinely planned (Proverbs 16 : 9). Whether that plan is fulfilled or not depends on several things — the person’s closeness to God, their understanding of life’s ultimate purpose, and the environment that shapes their spiritual formation.

The course of every life is constantly challenged by external forces. The crisis comes when we surrender our will — for good or for evil. The will to obey God is the greatest power of the newborn believer, while the will to disobey is the most destructive power in the hands of a sinner.

A child left alone in the world is soon ruled by one of two powers: good or evil, light or darkness, God or the devil. Every soul must choose which master to serve. That is why the Scripture says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he grows, he will not depart from it.”
